6 Swoonworthy Homes as Seen on Friendship Series

#FriendshipGoals and #HomeGoals! Sam Lincaro lists down some of the most iconic homes you see in friendship-oriented TV shows.

Have you ever watched Netflix with your BFF and found yourselves swooning over and even getting first dibs on the beautiful houses featured in shows? We bet you have!

Apart from a show’s narrative, we often cling to the settings and locations, especially the houses where the series is filmed. Well, we can’t blame you for that mainly because there really are great filming locations that these shows are treating our eyes to!

And sometimes, Netflix with a friend is all you really need when in need of a pick-me-upper. Good thing, you came to the right place as we tell you about these iconic homes we see in friendship series.

Apart from their love-hate relationship, Grace & Frankie’s (Jane Fonda & Lily Tomlin) beach house in La Jolla, California, is one thing that fans look forward to seeing when watching the show. It’s everyone’s dream home. We love how it is situated in the city while still having the vibe of beach life. We also love the two iconic patio chairs they sit on especially when a momentous or life-changing scene is about to happen.

Overlooking the mountains while being enveloped with flowers and greenery, Na HeeDo’s (Kim Tae Ri) pretty little house in the K-drama series Twenty-Five Twenty-One is also worthy of appreciation. We love how it’s all cute and homey and how it has an inviting vibe outside because of the outdoor setup of tables and chairs which really plays an impactful role in the story.

Dawson Leery’s Creekside House in Dawson’s Creek

Dawson’s Creek is one of the best shows that celebrate a coming-of-age friendship and whatnots. What we also love about it is Dawson’s (James Van Der Beek) two-story creekside house situated in Capeside, Massachusetts. It’s actually a summer villa with a private dock where most of the early scenes, including the pilot episode, were filmed. A very notable thing about the house in the show is “Joey’s (Katie Holmes) staircase” going to Dawson’s room where both often hang out as best friends.

The Gilmore Girls’ Blue House in Stars Hollow

Classic 90’s American series Gilmore Girls may not be on top of your list when it comes to shows about friendship. Still, if you really think about it, it’s actually a celebration of friendship between single mother Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her daughter, Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel). Apart from being mother and daughter, they are the best of friends and their Stars Hollow home is probably the ultimate testament to this. It’s got that warm and cozy vibe and it’s where they mostly do their funny banters and on-point movie references.

Monica’s New York Apartment in Friends

One of the most beloved series is, well, Friends. This show is a no-brainer when it comes to shows about friendship. Monica’s (Courtney Cox) apartment is very straightforward yet still a cozy nook in the midst of the bustling city of New York. The apartment is painted with a soft shade of purple. One of the most iconic things about her apartment is the gold frame (originally a mirror) hanging around her door peephole which was actually temporary but became permanent ever since one of the crew members broke the mirror.

The Ssangmundong neighborhood has a special place in our hearts, right? Even the mere thought of it reminds us of a familiar feeling of nostalgia and love between neighbors who eventually become family. Apart from Choi Taek’s (Park Bo Gum) room, one of the most unforgettable things about Reply 1988 is Jung Hwan’s (Ryu Jeon-Yeol) house, particularly the living room where the whole bunch eats ramen together.
