Making Space is White Brick’s initiative to support makers in Cebu and the maker community as a whole. Its vision is to provide a dynamic space where creatives of all fields are able to explore, collaborate, and create. Situated in the heart of Cebu City, in Mango Square, it is accessible to students, working professionals, businesses, hobbyists, and residents who need space and tools to make, repair, or learn.
Making Space is a co-making space that combines the resources of a digital fabrication facility, workshop, and co-working space. The space is composed of three main components—Makerspace, Gallery, and Studio—each with different purposes.
The Makerspace contains a woodworking workshop, digital fabrication machines, a sewing machine, and a painting booth. The Gallery will host special exhibitions, as well as a small maker shop, and can be rented for pop-up events. The Studio is a 48-sqm. space suitable for photo and video shoots, workshops, and talks. Fitted with a light grid for easy lighting installation, the Studio is also complete with stands, grips, and other equipment for rent.
Booking a slot at Making Space is easy:
- Book through the website.
- Arrive at your time slot, and choose the tools or equipment you need.
- Finally, freely make.
*Materials not included. Makers are allowed to bring their own equipment.
Making Space believes that makers make the future, one that is good and
sustainable. As makers and creators, there is so much we can do to shape the future we want to live in, whether through furniture, toys, film, sculpture, crafts, or anything in between. This can be in changing the way we consume things, and in rethinking our relationships with the things that we have.
Whatever you make, choose well.
Together let’s build a future where all creatives can freely make and turn their ideas into reality!
