Looking for what to watch next? Microwave some popcorn and settle in for a binge session with these top picks!

Has everyone joined the K-Drama club yet? I’m sure one of you reading this is a member like me!

I’ve been in the club for quite a while now and would like to think of myself as a pioneer. Here are some new K-drama recommendations you need to check out this month!

All of Us Are Dead

Ugh! I don’t know where to start. Every episode is action-packed, and the show is a crazy roller coaster ride of emotions.

All of Us Are Dead is set at a high school in South Korea where a failed science experiment caused a zombie apocalypse broke out, threatening the students. The trapped high school students have no choice but to find a way out to survive.

A little fun fact, All of Us Are Dead is an adaptation of Now at Our School, a Naver webtoon published between 2009 and 2011. If you enjoyed All of Us Are Dead, make sure to check this out!

Our Beloved Summer

Our Beloved Summer is a good balance of emotions—sweet, but at the same time, frustrating. After watching this show, my standards for men went higher—as they should be! It made me wonder where I can find my own Choi Ung.

When they were in school, Choi Ung (Choi Woo-Shik) and Kook Yeon-Soo (Kim Da-mi) starred in a documentary film together. 10 years after the filming, the documentary went viral, forcing them to come face-to-face in front of the camera again.

This time around, their friend Ji-Ung (Kim Sung-Cheol) is heading the documentary, bringing his unresolved feelings for Yeon-Soo. Also part of the picture is N.J (Roh Jeong-Eui), a popular Idol who has a growing affinity for Choi Ung’s art and endearing charm.

Do you know what makes this drama special? There is no antagonist in the story—just the stumbling blocks in their relationship and how they surpass them.

Happiness

Happiness is another highly-recommended zombie apocalyptic thriller series, this time starring Han Hyo-Joo (Yoon Sae Bom) and Park Hyung Shik (Jung Yi Hyun).

The show takes place where a failed COVID-19 treatment drug caused another pandemic known as the Rita Virus, a.k.a. the Mad Person Disease. The people who took the drug are experiencing short outbursts of insanity and bloodlust before completely going into a zombie-like state. The South Korean Military and Police forces tried to contain the spread through extensive investigation and rigorous quarantine measures while looking for the cure.

Not a single episode made me bored. So intense and heart-pounding!

The Ghost Doctor

The Ghost Doctor is a supernatural Korean drama about two doctors from extreme backgrounds who have opposite personalities and medical skills.

Cha Young Min (Rain), a genius cardiothoracic surgeon with excellent medical knowledge—however, arrogant and selfish—got into an unexpected accident that brought him to another world. His spirit possesses the body of Seung Tak, a first-year thoracic surgery resident who excels at theory but is clumsy and fears blood. Ironic, right?

Despite their differences, they set them aside to face the antagonists.

Taxi Driver

Are you up for some action? This one’s for you.

Inspired by real-life heinous crimes committed in Korea, Taxi Driver achieved the fourth-highest rating of any Friday-Saturday drama in SBS History! Allow me to take you a short ride in this consistently enthralling drama.

Rainbow Taxi Company is not your typical taxi company. They offer a ‘revenge-call’ service to clients who have been wronged and help them take revenge.

Kim Do-gi (Lee Je-hoon) is a Korean Military Academy graduate. When he was young, her mother was murdered. Since he could not take revenge on the man who murdered his mother, he now works as a taxi driver for the company.

If you want to know if justice prevailed, make sure to add this to your watch list!
