The shiny and new Mercedes-Benz C-Class was recently unveiled in Cebu by Global Star Motors Corporation (GSMC), the exclusive retailer of Mercedes-Benz in the Visayas and Mindanao.
The C-Class redesigns and amps up the game of luxury compact sedans, inside and out. “The C-Class features an elegant, sporty, and minimalist design without compromising intuitiveness,” said Jan Michael Villamor, Sales Manager of Mercedes-Benz Cebu. The C 180 Avantgarde variant is currently available to us.
The fully digital driver display features an 11.9-inch touch screen slightly angled to the driver for easier reading and operation. The vehicle is equipped with the latest generation MBUX multimedia system that provides an intuitive user experience by touch or voice. By simply saying “Hey Mercedes,” the driver can easily access important apps connected through their phone to navigate, select music, or make calls. “Hey Mercedes” can even change the lighting or adjust the temperature inside the cabin. The driver can also control MBUX from soft-touch buttons on the multifunctional steering wheel.
The C-Class cabin provides a first-class, feel-good space for the driver and passengers, offering generous legroom and headroom and leather seats that are electrically adjustable with capacitive switches. The front seats have memory function settings and four-way lumbar support to adjust the seat contour, for the most comfortable and ergonomic experience.
The car has a combustion engine with a mild hybrid EQ boost with the extra torque and an additional 20 horsepower for a total of 190 horsepower. The 1.5 liter C-Class is also available in gasoline, and runs about 13 to 14 kilometers to the liter depending on driving conditions.
As perfect timing would have it, a new C-class is launched only once every seven years, and this launch is nearly concurrent with another significant milestone at GSMC: the dealership just celebrated its seventh anniversary last month.
“Our Star continues to shine brighter, thanks to your support and enthusiasm for the brand,” said Edward Onglatco, President of Global Star Motors.
While the current stock of the C 180 in Cebu is already reserved, the next batch is estimated to arrive in December. Luxury SUVs such as the GLA, GLB, GLC, and best-selling GLE, and premium sedans such as the E-Class and A-Class are all arriving this month.
