Before we dig into the details of finding the right type of bra for you, it’s important to know how to accurately measure your breast.

How to Measure Your Bra Size

Step 1: Determine your band size

Using a measuring tape, measure your torso just a little bit under your bust where the bra band usually holds. Level your tape measure evenly and round the number to the nearest whole number. If you got an even number, add four inches and if it’s odd, add five. This is to allow your torso area to breathe without being too tight.

(e.g. If you measured 32 inches, your band size is 36. If you measure 29, your band size is 34.)

Step 2: Determine your breast size

Measure your bust by wrapping the tape somewhat loosely around your chest at nipple level. Similar to the band size, round the number to the nearest whole number.

Step 3: Determine your cup size

Now that you have determined your band size and bust size, it’s time to accurately choose the right cup size for you. Subtract your band size from your breast size and refer to the chart below:

(e.g. 36 [band size] – 34 [bust] = 2 inches )

Every inch equals one size cup.

Sports Bra

Going to the gym? Don’t be interrupted by the straps falling from your shoulders because of your regular bras. A sports bra is designed to support your breast and back, especially during intense workouts. This type of bra may also have features such as wide straps, racerback designs, and moisture-wicking fabrics to provide additional support, comfort, and breathability.

Stick-on Bra or Nipple Cover

If you’re going backless this summer season, the stick-on bras are the right choice. There’s glue or adhesive on its surface that can firmly sit on your skin. It is also important to follow the care instructions carefully, as improper cleaning or storage can damage the adhesive and reduce the effectiveness of the bra. However, bras like this may not work that well with large busts compared to small ones. But it’s manageable!
