Savage Ink International Tattoo Convention is set to make its highly-anticipated return on April 22 and 23, 2023 at the IEC Convention Center Cebu (IC3), located at Pope John Paul II Avenue 23 Minore Park Corner, Cardinal Rosales Ave, Cebu City.
In partnership with World Tattoo Events, the two-day event aims to foster healthy competition and camaraderie within the tattoo industry, as well as create and cultivate friendships between tattoo artists from the Philippines and around the world. Subsequently, this will contribute to the promotion of tourism in Cebu and the Philippines as Savage Ink is poised to become the globally recognized and top-of-mind tattoo convention of the country.
Founded and organized by Ann Savage and Joe Black, two veteran tattoo artists who have been in the industry for 11 and 13 years, respectively, the convention will host nearly 200 participating artists, including judges and guests from 15 different countries, including the Philippines, UK, Vietnam, South Korea, France, USA, Taiwan, Thailand, Sweden, Switzerland, Malaysia, Indonesia, Australia, Italy, and Poland.
The event will also feature several pocket events, including an Artist Alley where aspiring and professional artists can display their works for sale, and an auto convention for car enthusiasts.
Event goers can expect live performances by local acts, including Annulled by Nature, Ajirakun, Flirt, Scary Death Barbara, Anorexia, Cursed by Fire, Vince Amores, Finding Apollo, Stellarskin; hip-hop artists D A P, Jeper, Loon, Kayaza Chuya, Fongger King Rich, and Shoot T; and headliner Oh! Caraga.
Life partners Ann Savage and Joe Black are no strangers to the international tattoo scene, having been invited to nearly 10 international tattoo conventions with Ann participating as a judge as well. “We are so excited to bring Savage Ink back for its second run,” says Ann. “Our goal is to promote tattooing as a legitimate profession that artists can build a life on. It’s important that we showcase the value of tattooing and the hard work it requires, just like other professions and careers.”
Joe adds, “We also want to create a platform where tattoo artists from different parts of the world can come together, learn techniques, and gain insights from each other. At the same time, this is an opportunity to showcase the rich culture and talent of Filipino tattoo artists to a wider audience.”

Early bird tickets are available for purchase at Php 400 for each day, subject to availability, until April 21, 2023. Regular tickets will be sold at Php 600 on event dates at the venue.
