6 Ways to Style 2022’s Color of the Year

New Year means new color of the year. Chennie Montero lists down some fun ways to incorporate Very Peri into your wardrobe.

Pantone announced Very Peri as the color of 2022. It’s a dreamy and refreshing color, a mix of blues and purple with a red undertone.

For someone who loves dressing up, one of the things I look forward to in the New Year is dressing up or experimenting with looks using the color of the year. So, I went out to the nearest thrift shop to look for periwinkle pieces and see what I could mix and match them with.

Here are a few suggestions on how you can incorporate Very Peri into your wardrobe.

Ribbed Crop Top Shirt

Pastels

Make your whole outfit look youthful, sweet, and more refreshing by pairing Very Peri with another pastel color like this pair of mint-green ruffled shorts.

Neutrals

You can never go wrong with neutrals. Pair it with beige or white-washed pants for a modern classic.

Denim

Another basic that’s undoubtedly good to pair with almost every color. Go denim-on-denim with Very Peri for a fun look.

Flowy Tube Top

Color Block

The tip to finding a great match with your main piece is to look at the color wheel and see the colors in between and across it. Here, I mixed Very Peri with blue-colored pants.

Classic Black

Another tip is that when you’re wearing something that’s bright-colored, pair it with a contrasting color. The Very Peri pops out nicely against the black and creates a balance in the overall look.

Earth Tones

Since we mentioned neutrals earlier, I couldn’t resist pairing this top with a beige-colored blazer and matching shoes. Beige is my personal favorite when experimenting with clothes.

I personally love muted and pastel colors. I would definitely see myself wearing Very Peri often. So, how would you style Very Peri this year?
