Has it really been 15 years since the first store of this well-loved jewelry shop opened back in 2008 at SM Cebu City?
To commemorate its 15th year in the industry, Diagold planned a series of events this year. This started with the grand opening of a new branch at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino last April, followed by the launch of Small Laude in May. Last March, they also co-presented the first Philippine Terno Gala.
The Grand Celebration
Last August 10, we had the pleasure of witnessing Diagold’s grandest celebration at Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino. With their latest collection attracting everyone’s attention at the center of it all, guests came in looking glammed up and attractive, excited for the night’s upcoming celebration. After tummies were filled and a few drinks set the mood, everyone finally settled to witness the main event.
To open the night, Jennifer Ty, CEO of Diagold, gave her welcoming speech of gratitude and nostalgia. She recalls their early beginnings and describes her happiness upon realizing how their vision of creating contemporary pieces that resonate with Filipinas has now become a realized dream.
Thank you for allowing us to be part of your most treasured memories.

Right on cue, the runway began. There were gasps of awe, exclamations of excitement, and big smiles coupled with happy whispers among the crowd as each piece of jewelry and clothing was perfectly and flawlessly flaunted down the runway.
The show had a grand start with Pia Wurtzbach-Jauncey making her appearance in a jaw-dropping burnt red creation by Philip Rodriguez, followed by other creations of this well-loved designer called “Jewels of the Sea” which was inspired by mesmerizing low tide ripples, capturing the impression of these natural wonders, weaving together a glamor, youthfulness, and modernity while drawing from the timeless elegance of old Hollywood.
This was followed by the very ethereal collection of Michael Leyva. With evangelical music humming in the background, his creations captivated everyone as we saw volumes with striking puff sleeves and long trains, enhancing timeless and romantic silhouettes.
Drama made its way on the runway with Puey Quinones‘ awe-inspiring collection. He crafted his designs that reflect his particular taste, capturing the essence of solid hues and magnificent draperies that flawlessly accentuate the beauty of Diagold’s jewelry pieces.
And we were all taken on a very classy and chic surprise as Jojie Lloren‘s creations made their way down the runway. The timeless little black dress served as the center of this collection. The little black dress, created as a classic and practical outfit for ladies to effortlessly grace numerous events, was featured in varied silhouettes making us realize how beautiful this classic piece truly is.
Jun Escario made quite a statement with his collection that predominantly featured upper coats and exquisite evening gowns, exuding a sense of regal charm and allure. He cleverly combined the essence of jewelry with dressy evening attire, creating pieces and adjusting the necklines to highlight the necklaces with appealing focal points that really pop out.
The night was concluded with Cary Santiago‘s chic collection that perfectly highlighted each jewelry piece. As the famous Game of Thrones anthem by Ramin Djwadi played in the background, we saw Cary elevate his favorite color, black, to a whole new level as he showcased a breathtaking tapestry of elegance and sophistication, inspired by the moon’s magnificent reflections over the waters of Moalboal, Cebu. We also witnessed Small Laude walk down the runway with an equally sophisticated piece.
More Celebrations
As Diagold Jewelry continues to flourish, more and more stores are sprouting around the Philippines. Do watch out for their grand opening at SM City Bacolod in October, the perfect way to cap off the anniversary festivities.
