I was greatly influenced by my mom’s fashion.
I grew up in awe of her outfits everywhere she went. I was always so proud to show her off whenever she brings me to school, whenever she picks me up, or really, just wherever I go with her.
How I dress up now is much like her in those days—just the right kind of sexy and classy at the same time. She’s into basics and classic pieces as well.
Fun fact: My mom has a hard time letting go of her clothes. Believe it or not, she has more clothes than I have!
In celebration of Mother’s Day and as a tribute to my mom’s fashion, I curated four different timeless looks for her, as timeless as she is, of course.
Summer Soiree
The perfect outfit for a summer party or just chilling by the beach with a drink with the amigas.
This ensemble’s main color, beige, compliments my mom’s skin color well. The Aztec print and the wooden accessories elevate the whole look and make her stand out.
Wine Night
The outfit she’d want to wear for a date night or conversations over wine with my dad or her friends. This floral lace bodycon speaks “I’m classy and fun,” even with age.
Let’s Get Physical
My mom’s fashion has evolved. She keeps up with the trends and dresses up like a teen sometimes, and when she’s feeling lazy, she just grabs comfy basics. Speaking of teens, here’s a hip all-pink look for a walk outside to exercise or for a quick home workout.
Shopping Spree
When shopping, going for errands, or strolling, wearing comfortable clothes is a must because it will take hours. But of course, just because it’s comfortable doesn’t have to mean it’s boring.
Here’s my mom showing an example of how to make the basic outfit altogether look stylish with the white button-down with ruffles, tattered denim pants, and a pair of white loafers.
My mom doesn’t go out of style and today, I celebrate that part of her and all the other things that make her amazing.
